DSAT Tec Trimix Diver
For the extreme diver ready to further explore the world of technical deep diving, the gas of choice is trimix.
The PADI Tec Trimix Diver programme takes you to the outer edges of technical deep diving, opening the door to pristine dive sites few divers, if any, have ever seen.
The PADI Tec Trimix Diver course is intended to extend the depth range of technical divers already trained and qualified to use air, enriched air and oxygen for technical decompression dives beyond 50 metres. Diving with trimix is the outer edge of tec diving. The training extends your depth range capabilities by training you to use trimix with no maximum depth, something when using this technology has yet to be defined.
This programme is for PADI Tec 50 Divers or PADI Tec Trimix 65 Divers, or those holding a qualifying certification from another training organization.
Course Outline:
The PADI Tec Trimix Diver takes place over a minimum of five days. The first day will concentrate on completing the theory sections from the PADI Tec Trimix Diver manual.
You will also complete the first confined water training dive in front of our dive center.
The remaining three open water training dives can be don in 5 days
During your programme you will cover the following:
- Plan and execute at least five trimix decompression dives using various trimix blends
- Use decompression software to create custom dive tables and dive plans
- Make training dives as deep as 75 metres
You will use full technical diving equipment including multiple stage cylinders during the PADI Tec Trimix Diver Programme.
You will participate in at least one confined water training dive and at least five open water training dives with your instructor, to a maximum depth of 75m.
Equipment provided for course: Stage cylinders, Gas(inc trimix) & Twinsets
Equipment you should bring: Full SCUBA gear, including wing & harness.
(Rental of the wing, harness and regulators is available for €30)
Entry Requirements:
| • | Certified as a PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or equivalent. |
| • | Certified as a PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent. |
| • | Certified as a PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent. |
| • | Certified as a PADI Deep Diver or equivalent. |
| Minimum of 100 logged dives | |
| Certified as a PADI DSAT Tec Trimix 65 | |
| • | A Medical signed by a physician within the last 12 months. |
